Second hike of the year. Wore my long johns this time. If you haven't figured it out already, I am not a winter girl. You would not know that considering how often I am out shooting in the winter. I grew up in the desert and I LOVE the heat! Anyway, Red Rock Canyon Open Space in Colorado Springs is a place we have driven past a few times. It just doesn't look that photogenic from the road. I'm so glad we took a chance and explored the trails. I definitely want to go back in the summer and hike. The trail took us to a frozen lake. Way cool! The ice had cracked and looked like veins.
