I am addict for sure. I just got another camera...the Olympus OM-D E1 Mark III. We went to the launch party at Mike's a couple weeks back and got to see it in all it's glory. Ok, so I'm always looking for the perfect bag and apparently I am looking for the perfect travel camera too. Erich got one too. We are headed to Israel in September and frankly I am tired of lugging gear. I was looking for something that I can bring with ONE lens. Fuji's travel lens, the 18-135 MM, is not quite wide enough for me, I usually bring the 10-24 MM too. Olympus has a 12-100 MM - Yay!! I like having more range than Erich, he went with the faster 12-45 MM. We can share, maybe.
I switched over to mirrorless to reduce the weight in my bag, that worked well when I had the FujiFilm XT20, it was really light. Then I upgraded to the XT3...quite a bit heavier. I think the Olympus is about the same weight as the XT3. Still not as heavy as the Nikon D500 (best camera ever!) I picked up the Zuiko 12-100 MM F4.5. Oh my, the clarity is freaking ridiculous! I have come fun circle, my first DSL was the Olympus E Volt. I think it was 12 MP. Back in my film days I shot Olympus, the OM2.
The coolest feature so far is the live ND. Dude! We went to downtown Denver to shoot the city and Platte River at Confluence park. The water was a flowing and I was doing hand held long exposures!! No Tripod!
Camera: Olympus OMD EM1 Mark III
We have been playing around with focus stacking with macro photography. The Olympus has focus stacking too...but you can do it handheld. It even stacks them in camera. This is going to be the perfect camera for our trip. I just hope 12 mm is wide enough for Petra. I am thinking crazy, I think I want an 8 mm. No, not going to do it. One lens and one camera and I mean it.

Denver was quite deserted due to the COVID 19 Virus...Traffic was the best we've seen it in years. We spent most of the morning around Union Station and Larimer Square. It was a bit foggy and gray but the sun came out and turned out to be a beautiful 45 degree day.
