The Rainforest is open at the Denver Botanic Gardens and just in time for that fabulous winter therapy I look forward to once the landscape loses its color and the severe humidity reduction sets in. With the lack of greens in the landscape, it is quite challenging for infrared photography, green is what really stands out. The rain forest is the perfect place for us to practice shooting. IR really doesn't distinguish the different hues of green, they all tend to blend together without much contrast. Although, I am still practicing my color mixing, I am really loving the black and white IR. It is definitely my style - film nior with the super white highlights and deep blacks. Who needs that Leica monochrom camera, not that I have been looking at it or anything...
